To edit duty hour types you can either access it through the Duty Hours portion of Residency Partner .NET™ or through Settings. You will only be able to edit duty hour types if you have the appropriate User Access.
When you click on the Edit Duty Hour Types link in Duty Hours or navigate to this screen from the Settings menu, you will see a screen that has your current Duty Hour Types defined.

Adding a New Duty Hour Type
By clicking on New, you will be taken to a screen that will allow you to create a new duty hour type. You are required to enter a name for your new duty hour type in order to Save it.

Once you have entered a name for the new duty hour type, you can specify whether the new type should involve Medical Duties, Educational hours or Non-Tracked Hours. As you change what kind of hour type it is, the box labeled 'Hours of this Type could effect' will bold certain restrictions that apply to each type. The green text below that box states how the duty hours will be tracked.

When you are finished, click Save. You will be brought back to the screen where your Duty Hour Types are listed and defined. At the top you will see a message indicating that the most recent duty hour type that was added.
