Generating Evaluations
Previous Topic  Next Topic

There are many scenarios that can be evaluated through Residency Partner™. The type of evaluation (.rpt file) helps to identify who or what is to be evaluated. There is a multitude of ways residents, attendings, and even programs as a whole, can be evaluated. Once an evaluation form is modified through the evaluation module, it can be submitted to evaluators (or generated) to be completed via RP.NET.

To generate an evaluation and prepare it to be completed, select the evaluation form from the evaluation module and click Generate!

This will open a window where you will be asked to select residents, attendings, rotations, etc. that are going to be used to determine who or what is being evaluated. The options you need to select depend on the type of evaluation you are generating. The type of evaluation determines what the Generate module will look like and the information that can be filtered. There are labels to help you identify which selections to make as to evaluators and what is being evaluated (evaluatees).

Set Attending

If the evaluation form that you are using is to be completed by an attending, you can either select the attending at the time of generation or you can use the rotation schedule/resident schedule to preset attendings. To select an attending while generating an evaluation, simply click Set Attending.  More than one attending can be selected to complete the evaluation.

Evaluation Period Date

Before you can click 'Create' you have to set an Evaluation Period Date. An Evaluation Period Date is the date in which the evaluation will appear in RP.NET to be completed. This allows evaluation to be generated in advance of it being completed, while allowing the most control over when it is to be completed. The Evaluation Period Date also signifies when email notifications will be sent informing the evaluator that there are evaluations to complete.
